1. Who provides SetScreens
SetScreens is provided by Gergely István EV, at 1071 Budapest, Damjanich utca 32. 1. emelet, 2A, Hungary. In these Terms, “we” means that provider and “you” means the person or organisation using the service. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to agree on its behalf. Companies and individual professionals may use SetScreens; your account label does not remove any consumer rights that apply by law.
These Terms govern your account, service access, licence capacity and production use. For an app obtained through Apple's App Store, the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement also governs the application licence. These Terms do not replace that agreement or override its applicable usage rules. A separately signed project agreement governs the matters it expressly covers.

2. Using the product and your account
SetScreens helps film and media productions prepare and control production phone interfaces and create supported recordings and exports. Use the capabilities, device requirements and restrictions described for the version you install. A working preview or licence indicator does not certify a complete production setup or grant third-party rights.
The simulated phone interfaces, calls, messages and notifications are props for fictional or staged scenes. Displaying them does not itself place a real call, send a real message or provide the represented operating-system or third-party service.
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use the authorised account and licence controls. Do not bypass capacity limits, tamper with entitlements, misrepresent ownership or use the service unlawfully. Tell us if you believe someone has gained unauthorised access.
3. Test before filming
Before relying on SetScreens for a shoot, you must read the technical preparation guide and rehearse the complete intended setup with enough time to resolve problems or arrange an alternative. Do not leave the first complete test until a shot depends on it.
Test the actual Controller and Player devices, installed versions, interface, Script, content, actor interactions, power, storage and network. Include the intended distances and locations, the longest expected take, interruption and recovery, and any required export and playback destination.
Repeat the relevant tests after a material change. Keep usable copies of production content and a suitable fallback for critical shots. Do not rely on a configuration with a known unresolved problem. Acknowledging the technical guide means that you have read it; it does not prove that a test succeeded or waive legal rights.
4. Devices, networks and offline access
You provide suitable devices, power, storage and lawful network access, and are responsible for their setup and physical safety. Follow manufacturer instructions. App-pinning modes can reduce accidental navigation; they do not dedicate every system resource to SetScreens.
A private network and wired access points can improve control over a location setup. Operation still depends on configuration, radio conditions and equipment and cable limits; no arrangement guarantees arbitrary distance or uninterrupted communication.
Account checks, purchases, downloads and licence renewal may require internet access. Before working offline, check the particular Controller's usable capacity and offline-access expiry. An account's overall subscription status does not establish that every Controller can work offline.
5. Phone keys and Controller assignment
A phone key represents capacity for one simultaneously connected Player. A key can be assigned to only one Controller at a time. Your order or grant states the quantity, validity and any special conditions. Copying the app, signing into another device or copying local files does not create additional capacity.
Release and reassignment use the supported controls. A Controller's existing offline reservation may need to be released or expire before the same capacity becomes available elsewhere. Moving a key does not transfer ownership of the account or create a new purchase.
Video export requires at least one qualifying, valid phone key assigned to the Controller. Trial and complimentary grants provide the capabilities stated for the grant. Losing or releasing all qualifying capacity ends access to the associated paid features without withdrawing rights in output already lawfully created.
6. Purchases and renewals
Each purchased key keeps its original billing source. Apple purchases renew and are managed through Apple; website purchases renew and are managed through Paddle as identified at checkout. Moving a key between Controllers does not move its subscription between providers or change its renewal terms.
Before confirming a recurring purchase, check the product, quantity, price, currency, billing period, introductory offer and renewal conditions shown by the purchase provider. Those purchase terms and applicable law govern charges, taxes, invoices and payment-related changes. Reassignment does not itself create a refund or cancel a charge.
Check your existing purchases before buying additional capacity. Separate purchases can create separate subscriptions. Keep access to the SetScreens account and purchase-provider account associated with your keys.
7. Trials, gifts and discounts
A standalone trial or complimentary key expires under the conditions shown when granted and does not itself authorise recurring payment. If you separately accept an auto-renewing subscription with a free or discounted introductory period, its disclosed renewal terms apply.
A discount applies only to its stated provider, eligible purchase and conditions. A complimentary key is not a cash balance or a promise of permanent access.
8. Cancellation, withdrawal and refunds
Cancel renewals through the original purchase provider using its stated process and deadlines. Uninstalling the app, deleting your SetScreens account, unassigning a key or stopping use does not itself cancel a subscription. Check each subscription if you want recurring charges to stop. Request payment refunds from the seller or provider identified on your purchase confirmation; contact SetScreens about service problems.
If you buy as a consumer in the European Economic Area, you normally have 14 days from concluding a distance contract for services or online digital content to withdraw without giving a reason. To exercise an applicable right, notify the seller before the deadline using its online withdrawal function or another clear withdrawal statement through its stated contact route. Include the purchase reference and contact information, and keep the acknowledgement. You may also contact us at legal@setscreens.com for help identifying the appropriate route.
For eligible Paddle purchases, the online withdrawal option is in the Paddle Customer Portal, reached through the management link in your transaction email or Paddle.net. For Apple purchases, use the withdrawal route in Apple's terms for your country, including the transaction-withdrawal option in Apple Account purchase history where applicable. Apple's refund-request service is also linked below. Stopping future renewal, exercising a statutory withdrawal right and requesting a refund are different actions. The relevant seller's procedures do not remove any right you have under applicable law.
For paid digital content supplied without a physical medium, that right can be lost when supply begins only if you gave the required prior express consent, acknowledged the loss of the right and received the legally required confirmation. For a paid service, the applicable exception concerns full performance following the required express consent and acknowledgement. Merely starting an ongoing subscription is not automatically full performance.
If you expressly request a service to start during the withdrawal period and then withdraw, a proportionate charge for the service already supplied may be payable where the law permits. Other statutory conditions and exceptions may apply. These Terms or a technical-guide acknowledgement do not by themselves give the separate consent required for early supply or loss of withdrawal rights.
Withdrawal and cancellation are separate from rights concerning faulty or non-conforming services. Nothing here removes mandatory remedies, including applicable repair, price reduction, termination or refund rights. The seller's required purchase information and confirmation explain the procedure for your transaction.

9. Support and updates
Questions, problem reports and suggestions are welcome through Help & feedback. The developer reviews and responds as time allows. No particular response time, resolution time, release date or continuous support availability is promised unless separately agreed in writing.
Live assistance during filming is not included. Receiving or acknowledging a report is not a promise of a fix before a shoot. These support expectations do not limit obligations or remedies required by law.
Install updates during preparation and repeat the relevant tests before relying on them in production. Share only the information reasonably needed to investigate a report.
10. Your production content
You retain the rights you have in the names, messages, images, recordings and other content you provide. You must have permission to use that material in the intended production and to share it with the devices, collaborators or services you choose.
You authorise processing and transmission of your content only as needed to provide the functions you request. Processing content with SetScreens does not make third-party material SetScreens-owned or clear its rights. Keep your necessary source files and exports, and avoid including unnecessary real personal data or confidential material in support requests.
Using SetScreens does not give us permission to feature your production, name, logo, Script, stills or footage in our advertising, portfolio or publicity. Any such use requires separate permission from someone authorised to grant the relevant rights.
11. Product Placement UI and clearance
Product Placement UI profiles are optional simulated phone interfaces intended as on-screen props for film, television and other media productions. They may represent identifiable Apple, Google, Android, device-manufacturer or other third-party interfaces. Product Placement UI describes their intended use; it is not a statement that the interface or your production has been approved by a rightsholder.
Making such a profile available does not grant permission to use the represented brands, interfaces, product designs, images or other third-party material. SetScreens does not grant Apple, Google or another owner’s rights. Offering the profile does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship by or endorsement from a represented brand.
As a condition of using a Product Placement UI profile for a film or other production, the production must obtain written product-placement or brand clearance from the relevant rightsholders for that particular production before filming. Check that the clearance covers the intended depiction, editing, distribution, territories, media and promotional use, together with any other permissions the production requires. Keep those approvals with the production records and recheck them after a material change. An approval for one production does not automatically cover another.
Changing the appearance or name of a Product Placement UI, combining it with custom elements or exporting it does not by itself clear third-party rights or convert those elements into SetScreens-owned Original/Custom UI. Independently supplied media, fonts, logos, names and likenesses may have separate rights or permission requirements.
A SetScreens licence, successful technical test, exported video, summary card or clearance report does not replace that clearance. Section 17 explains the report's scope and the separate production review. We do not certify that a particular product-placement approval covers every relevant right. No endorsement by Apple, Google or another brand is implied. The production's obligations do not remove any responsibility SetScreens itself has for the app and content it provides or distributes.
12. Rights in output and custom UI
For output lawfully created during authorised use, SetScreens grants the rights it owns or controls needed to record, edit, render, reproduce, distribute, broadcast, exhibit, promote and otherwise commercially exploit that output worldwide and in perpetuity, without additional SetScreens royalties. You may transfer or sublicense those rights to clients, producers, distributors, broadcasters, post-production vendors and other recipients.
For Original or Custom UI designs and assets owned or controlled by SetScreens and supplied to you, including those lawfully exported through SetScreens, you receive a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence. You may use, modify, reproduce and reuse them in any number of productions, and sell, resell, distribute or sublicense them either on their own or as part of other creative deliverables. There is no SetScreens-imposed limit on projects, clients, copies, resale value or onward transfers, and no further SetScreens permission, fee, royalty or revenue share is required for those uses.
The rights granted under this section 12 are not limited to the original production. Cancellation, suspension, termination or expiry of a subscription, licence or service access, or deletion of an account, does not withdraw rights already granted in lawful output or delivered Original/Custom UI designs and assets. Exercising those rights does not require an active SetScreens subscription. Future changes to these Terms do not retroactively revoke them.
The grant covers only rights that SetScreens owns or is authorised to license on these terms. Apple, Google and other rightsholders retain their rights in the third-party elements described in section 11. Material supplied by you or another source, including images and fonts, remains subject to its applicable rights and conditions. The presence of third-party elements in a combined output does not remove the rights granted in SetScreens’ own contributions, but it does not extend the permissions for those third-party elements.
The grant does not transfer ownership of the SetScreens platform or grant a right to resell the SetScreens application, runtime engine or internal software libraries. This exclusion does not prevent standalone resale of the delivered Original or Custom UI designs and assets.
These output and delivered-asset rights are separate from permission to access the service, assign phone keys or use the SetScreens application. They do not transfer your account, increase licence capacity or transfer or sublicense the application. The application, service-access and capacity restrictions do not limit the separate rights granted in output, designs and assets under this section 12.
13. Responsibility and legal limits
Take reasonable steps to prevent and reduce avoidable loss. SetScreens does not promise uninterrupted operation in every environment or production-day assistance. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for disruption caused by an untested or knowingly faulty setup, unsuitable equipment, network or power failures outside our control, or unauthorised changes.
For users acting in their trade or profession, and only where lawful, we exclude indirect or consequential business loss arising from the service. This can include lost profit, business interruption or production and reshoot costs only to the extent they fall within that lawful exclusion. It does not automatically exclude every filming expense or every responsibility for the software.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable digital-service conformity rights, fraud or intentional wrongdoing, and harm to life or health. Failing to carry out a test does not automatically waive mandatory rights.
14. Ending access or deleting an account
Access ends according to the subscription or grant's validity and the applicable cancellation rules. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address unlawful use, a material breach, non-payment or a genuine security risk, subject to applicable law and any required notice or opportunity to resolve the issue.
You can initiate account deletion through the account controls. Deletion removes account access; it does not cancel subscriptions, erase copies you retain on your devices, or immediately invalidate an already-issued offline entitlement. The Privacy Policy explains data deletion and retention. Keep the production files and exports you need before deleting the account.
Ending access or deleting an account does not revoke rights already granted under section 12 in lawful output or delivered Original/Custom UI designs and assets.
15. Personal data and contact
The Privacy Policy explains account, licence, payment, device, support and website data handling, including retention and your rights. Reading that notice is distinct from giving optional consent, such as a request to receive marketing messages.
For questions, complaints or legal and privacy requests, contact Gergely István EV at legal@setscreens.com or the address stated above. Use Help & feedback for ordinary product questions and problem reports.
16. Changes and applicable rights
These Terms identify their version and effective date. Material changes apply prospectively and will be communicated as required by law. They do not withdraw rights already granted under section 12 in lawful output or delivered Original/Custom UI designs and assets or override existing signed agreements. Where a change requires your agreement or gives you a right to end a contract, those requirements remain applicable.
The governing law and available courts are determined by the applicable legal rules; these Terms do not impose an exclusive foreign court or remove mandatory protections available where you live. If a provision cannot lawfully apply, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
17. Scene clearance reports and review
Each successfully completed new video export made with a version that supports clearance reporting includes the MP4 video, a Scene Clearance Report in PDF format and a structured JSON evidence file. These materials help the production identify and review the particular export. They document available information; their creation does not obtain or record a person's approval, a rightsholder's permission or a legal review.
The report draws on the prepared scene and export data, including available production and scene details, actions, names, phone numbers, messages, images, source references, UI identity and captured screen states. Phone-model details, script excerpts and other production-supplied information are recorded as supplied. An asset filename, source label or recorded hash is not independent verification of authorship, ownership, a licence or the physical device used for filming. Missing information remains unrecorded.
An inventory entry can describe prepared or referenced material that does not appear in the completed video. A typing source, draft or intended message does not prove that the full text was displayed, sent or delivered. Screenshots show sampled states of the rendered simulated phone interface. They are not a camera record of a physical prop phone; several actions may share one captured state, and unavailable images may be identified. Review the report together with its matching video and source information.
The Clip ID and its QR code identify the export, and recorded file hashes help compare the associated files. The QR code is an identifier, not a link to an approval service. These features do not provide a digital signature, independently certified timestamp, proof of a reviewer's identity or legal clearance. Exported copies can be edited outside SetScreens; a matching identifier alone does not establish that a file is unchanged.
A completed report records the export-time snapshot. Later changes to a scene in SetScreens do not rewrite that report. A new render receives a new Clip ID; sharing an existing completed export retains its identity. Keep the exact version reviewed with its related files and approvals for as long as appropriate for the production and applicable obligations. Identify edited or redacted copies as such. If you need a report of revised scene content, create and review a new export. Recheck any relevant third-party permissions after a material change to the content or intended use.
The generated review status is 'not recorded'. It means that the report does not contain a verified approval; it is not a finding that permission has been refused or has not been obtained separately. Keep the production's actual review and any required written permissions separately, linked to the relevant Clip ID and version, identifying the authorised reviewer or rightsholder, date, scope and conditions. Only a person authorised for the relevant rights or decision can grant that approval.
The report does not certify name, image, likeness, copyright, trademark or other third-party clearance, and it does not guarantee acceptance by a brand, distributor or platform. It does not expand or reduce the rights granted in section 12. A report showing no recorded approval does not withhold the SetScreens-owned rights already granted there; third-party permissions remain subject to sections 10 and 11.
Review the entire video, PDF and JSON package before sharing it. The report and structured evidence can contain personal or confidential information, including source text and images beyond what is visible in the video. Share only with appropriate, authorised recipients and minimise unnecessary information. The export feature generates and stores the package locally; it does not automatically submit it to SetScreens, a brand or a clearance reviewer. Your chosen sharing apps, file services and backup settings may transmit or copy it as described in the Privacy Policy.
The report is included with an eligible video export under section 5; it is not a separate entitlement to make new exports after qualifying access ends. Reports are not retrospectively created for older video-only exports from a subsequently edited scene. Render again to create a new package. Expiry of access does not by itself delete completed files or withdraw rights already granted under section 12. Keep your own usable copies; local storage and sharing are not a managed archival or backup service.
